Hi, my name is Orlund. I am a Software Analyst and on my spare time I do website work and other programing. I was always interested in photography but never really got into it until my wife bought me my first digital camera. It was the Canon S2IS and although it was a compact it, it had all the manual settings to allow me to learn about photography.

I now own a DSLR and am getting more serious about taking photos. I do not necessarily plan to be a professional photographer but I would like to be able to produce professional quality photos of my family, friends and life.

Photography has both a documentary side which represents the real world and also a artistic side that shows a persons creativity. My photography probably sits somewhere in the middle. I think that although photos straight from the camera my be closer to real life, I think they are like watching a boring documentary.

My photography is about making people want to be there, want that thing, or let their mind wounder in to an imaginary world. I like the realistic photography if it stirs up memories but like the artistic side that lets your mind wounder what it would be like if you where in the photo.
