Sitting Duck
I was looking for a photo of patterns in nature
and then found this while taking the kids out to feed the ducks.
Woof
Went to a kids birthday party a couple years ago and
not even poor ol’ puppy eyes could convince me to share my hot dot!
Kermit on the Rocks
A tiny little frog at our nieces birthday party,
He asked for a little party hat but I didn’t have one small enough.
Kitten
One of the kitten that my brother and his family got,
it didn’t like people much and ran up the tree.
Hawk In Flight

This hawk was on its way to it’s nest.
Later we got to see it bring some salmon back and eat.
This was during the salmon run at Adams River.
Gold Fish
Our goldfish. One of my first shots with my new Canon 17-55 2.8f IS USM Lens.
Cheese Stealer
This is a wild mouse that was kind of tame.
He must have ate a bad piece of cheese because he wasn’t scared or moving very fast.
In fact, when chasing him, he got tired out and fell asleep on the road.
Predator Or Pray
I was standing about four feet from this guy.
Now looking at this photo I am glad this marmot is less that a foot tall, fat and lazy.
Eyes of a Horse
A horse from the Kamloops Mounted Patrol.
These are volunteer‘s who welcome guests to our city.
Duck Hunt
So far I haven’t liked many of my duck photos (or bird photos). This one, however, was one that I think turned out alright. I mostly like the browns and also the angle. There were a couple of duck that just sat under a dock. at this time of year the water was at least 10 feet below.
Last Bit Of Green
I didn’t even notice the little green inch worm when I took the photo. I guess he is heading to his last dinner before winter comes. I don’t know who will get to the leaf first, winter or the worm.
Winter Feeding
Winter is arriving and the little birds are stocking up on the little berries on our bushes. It will be our first winter here at this house and it is nice to see there are plenty of birds around. Good thing we have a lazy cat who prefers bit size dry crunchy seafood flavored nuggets.
Bee Battle

Two bees that looked like they were about to fight. The big bee just curled up really still, even long after the green one left. I believe the green bee is called a Agapostemon or Green Metallic Bee.
Spring Time Colors
I just happened to see this butterfly while watering the lawn. It stayed long enough and still enough to get several close ups on our flowering bush.

City Eagle

City Eagle
Ever drive by something then thought “I wish I had my camera” or “I should have pulled over and took a photo”? I always seem to drive past things. I don’t know why but I never pull over.
Finally yesterday I saw a little white speck on a tree. Just the thought that it could be a eagle made me quickly change lanes so I could drive down another road to get a little closer. I was still far away but I had my zoom lens. There were barb wire fences around a building in front of the tree so I couldn’t get any closer.
This eagle was in the city looking over the river. Probably looking for fish, maybe some early salmon? This was the best shot I could get.
