Rivers & Lakes

Blue Reflections

Sunset on a man-made lake in Alberta.
Beautiful lake, beautiful night.

Fishing in Jasper

We drove for nearly 10 hours that day,
I would have rather been on one of those fishing boats.

Sportspal

A day at the lake trying a friends canoe,
I just wish summer would last forever.

Swamped

A walk around Logan Lake.
Still cold and not much green.

The Shore At Sunnybrae

I went to a camp for a day at Sunnybrae.
It makes me want to go camping again.
Glad spring is on its way and the grass is turning green.

Early Morning At Sea

Early morning view of the ships from my hotel room.
After 3 days they didn’t seem to move much.

Little Island

During the summer this tree is a little island out on the river.
Because the river goes down in the fall I was able to get close on the beach.

River Mussels?

I really don’t think there are mussels in our river.
Someone must have dropped it here but
it was a fun prop for a photo along our river.

Sticks and Stones

Not sure what these sticks and stones are for,
but would make a great spot for three hammocks.

Smoky Mountain

During the summers it is not unusual for our town to be filled with smoke of nearby fires.
This afternoon I took advantage of it to practices smoke or fog photography.
I have been wanting to try some low contrast photos for a while and today was perfect for it.

Nature in Town

This is a little piece of nature in the middle of town.
It is a place where we like to take the kids for walks and to see the ducks.

Waiting For A Lake Day

It is starting to warm up outside.
Tonight after looking at this picture from last summer I am excited for trips to the lake.

Ice Fishing

From my ice fishing trip to Red Lake this last December. Here is the photo of Dad and a friend drilling holes into the ice.

Red Lake

While out ice fishing this past week I took this photo of a foggy Red Lake.

No Bridges

posts

Just the remainders of an old bridge in the background and some posts of a dock in the foreground. Long ago there were actually two bridges (as far as I know). One was wood and the other concrete. Only the concrete pillars still remain.

This was an early morning shot in mid-Fall. It was kind of chilly out but a great morning for photos. This was my favourite of that day.

Fall At The Dock

docks

One fall morning down at the river I took this photo. It was not the photo I went to take infact I never even knew you could see the dock from there. As I was photographing our bridge I could see the white boat standing out. I thought it looked good with the yellow fall colors.
